Xbmc not updating library correctly
Kodi can make your massive media collection easy to browse and play, but adding new media is a bit of a chore. Here they are, listed in terms of how easy they are to set up: None of these methods are particularly complicated, but the two add-ons are going to require a bit more effort, with Watchdog being the most work.
By default, you need to manually tell the program to re-scan your folders every time you add something, which is annoying if you add new media regularly. In exchange for more complication, each option gives more flexibility than the last, so it’s worth going over all three.
In the configuration of the TVDB Addon if neither of the 2 tick boxes for DVD Order or Absolute Ordering are ticked then the order of episodes will be in Aired Order and this is the default listing order for the the TVDB addon.
You can see these options on at the bottom of the page and when trying to match the order with how your files are named, you can confirm it with the page URL eg. tab=seasonall&id=71361&lid=7&order=absolute the other options in this case were DVD and aired.
I had the same problem on current live build (3.0.2).
I'm using Kodi 14.2 Helix and also using tinymediamanager to manage my library.
Additionally whilst absolute ordering may exist on thetvdb.com, that data may not be available to the scraper due to the way feeds that data out - see the section on debugging show matching (yet to be completed). If you did not "Set Content" when you added a source, you can do so later by selecting the source and bringing up the contextual menu ( You can also "set content" for subfolders, even if the parent folder has content set that is using a different setting. For example, you can have a folder for your TV shows, and in that folder have a folder for "Star Trek" that contains the different Star Trek TV shows. Some people rarely, if ever, restart Kodi, putting the computer to sleep instead of shutting it down.If that’s you, re-scanning the library probably isn’t good enough.

When you "Set Content", you can set your video content as Music Videos, Movies, or TV Shows.
